Tareba ("we", "us", "our") is a global power infrastructure intelligence platform operated by Tareba Data Engine. Our registered address and data controller contact: hello@tareba.com.
Account data: name, email address, company, job title, country, password hash (never the plain password), and optional profile information you provide.
Usage data: pages visited, searches performed, projects and tenders viewed, watchlist items, and alert preferences.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps — used only for security and analytics.
OAuth data: If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those services. We never receive or store your Google or LinkedIn password.
We use your data to: provide the Tareba platform and personalise your experience; send you tender alerts, digest emails, and transactional emails you have requested; analyse usage to improve the platform; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
For users in the European Economic Area and UK, our legal basis for processing is: Contract — to provide the service you signed up for; Legitimate interests — platform security and improvement; Consent — marketing emails (you can withdraw at any time).
We use strictly necessary cookies (session management, CSRF protection) which do not require consent. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the platform is used. You can manage cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with ad networks.
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is anonymised within 30 days. Email logs are retained for 90 days. Analytics data is retained for 26 months.
You have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability (download your data); and withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, email hello@tareba.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
You can download all your personal data from Account Settings → Security. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, use the Delete Account option in Settings. Anonymisation is completed within 30 days.
We share data with: Hostinger (hosting infrastructure); Google Analytics (usage analytics, only with your consent); Stripe (payment processing — they are the data controller for payment data, not us). We do not share data with any other third parties.
Tareba servers are located in the EU (Hostinger). If we transfer data outside the EEA, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Tareba is a professional B2B platform not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us immediately.
We will notify you by email and in-app banner at least 14 days before any material changes to this policy take effect. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
